Quality Miniature Horses and Shetlands

Subtitle

We are located in Deep East Texas on 34 acres of rolling country side! We are located about an hour SW of Shreveport, LA, 3 hours north of Houston, an hour NE of Nacogdoches, Texas.(home of SFA University)

My goal in the minis and Shetlands first and always, to enjoy them! But in the process to raise healthy horses with the best breeding so we can offer quality horses that will shine in the show ring but at the same time bring joy to their owners!

I have loved horses from the time I knew what a horse was! Unlike some people who just love a breed, I loved all horses, so it is not so far off that once I owned one mini I was in love with them! With the large horses, my love was trail riding, so bloodlines were not important to me...just good conformation and good temperament were all that mattered.  It has been exciting and at sometimes confusing as I learn bloodlines, genetics, oh, and all the colors! I am always amazed at what all I am learning concerning the little horses! Thankfully, God put me in the right place at the right time to meet the best people and have the opportunity to  purchase some well breed horses sired by some of the great stallions! I have been able to get a good base at the beginning of my life with minis! Judith Kurth introduced me to one of the best trainers in the business who was kind enough and patient enough to take a newbies horse, Ray Zoercher, Owner of Windflight. Ray has introduced me to so many wonderful people, Martha Hickman being one of them! I must say I have met some of the dearest and most helpful people in the world of Miniature horses!

This new phase of my life is a terrific journey I have embarked on and so exciting! Feel free to join me as I grow and learn and enjoy this part of my life! And I give thanks to God for my wonderful husband, Roy who helps to make this all possible and somehow bears with living with me, because he never knows just what I will be bringing home next!

I have 4 grown children and 5 grand daughters  and 2 grandsons. Roy has 2 grown children and 4 grandkids.

Other critters around the farm include some "regular" horses, Miniature Zebu Cattle, Myotonic Goats(aka, fainting goats), mini donkey, donkey, few cows, chickens, Muscovy ducks, geese, turkey and pair of peacocks.  We have 3 LGD, 1 English Shepherd, then various pets(dogs and cats) farm cats, Amazon Parrot and presently 2 ferrets.

I never know what is ahead, but I know that God is there waiting and that there is always something exciting, something new, or something that will help me to be all I need to be. It may seem good or it may seem bad, but either way, I know that God has gone ahead and prepared the way for me and I need not be afraid of what is around the bend.

John 3:16 For GOD so love the world(THAT MEANS ME AND YOU) that HE sent His only Son that whosoever (ME and YOU) believes on Him shall die but have everlasting life!
